| Description and/or Purpose | The El Kahir Shrine Greeters Unit was chartered in August 2004. We are one of the newest Uniformed Units of El Kahir Shrine. Our primary objective is to promote El Kahir Shrine activities at the call and pleasure of the Potentate. We perform the hospitality duties needed to provide for the welfare of the order and assist visitors that are attending functions of our El Kahir Center and of our Temple locale. We operate under the jurisdiction of the El Kahir Shrine Center, abide by their rules and perform all duties and activities requested by the Potentate. We are affiliated with the Central States Shrine Greeters Association. This allows us to participate in the business sessions, planning and assist in the varied programs of hosting the members of the Central States Shrine Association in their many trips. |

| Activities & Events |
We have varied and exciting programs throughout the year including an annual get together for the Ladies
and a summer Steak Fry. We meet at 6PM on the night of El Kahir Stated Meetings since our membership includes
Nobles from throughout the El Kahir area. We are always involved in the Potentate's Ball, handling registration, greeting out of town guests and in our Formal Attire, escort members and guests to their assigned seating at their respective tables at the Potentate's Party. In addition, our Unit members are involved in the Annual Fund Raisers for El Kahir Shrine and we tyle the El Kahir Stated Meetings. |
